Bugged Pest Control

Austin husband-and-wife owned

Meet Brittany and Miles Smith.

They founded Bugged to deliver quality work, stand behind the service, communicate clearly, and bring pest control into the 21st century.

Bugged Pest Control

Our story

The professionals they wanted at their own front door.

Brittany and Miles founded Bugged because they wanted a pest-control company that performed quality work, stood behind its service, respected the scheduled arrival window, educated the homeowner, and stayed focused on solving the pest problem.

Their bottom line was simple: be the professionals, then bring the experience into the 21st century. Bugged pairs direct phone and text access with technician ETAs, useful visit documentation, before-and-after photos, and customer tools that keep important information close at hand.

They are also parents to one child and share their home with two Labrador retrievers. That everyday family perspective is part of why clear preparation, respectful service, and practical communication matter so much to the company they are building.

The technology supports the relationship; it does not replace it. Customers can still reach a real local team whenever the situation needs a conversation.

The founders

Co-founder

Brittany Smith

Brittany co-founded Bugged Pest Control with her husband Miles, and co-owns it with him today. They started the company because the service they wanted at their own front door — a technician who arrives inside the window, explains what was actually found, and stands behind the work afterward — was not something they could reliably buy in Greater Austin. She is a parent and a dog owner, which is why the preparation instructions, the re-entry directions, and being told plainly what is going into an occupied home are treated here as part of the job rather than as paperwork at the end of it.

Co-founder

Miles Smith

Miles co-founded Bugged Pest Control with his wife Brittany, and co-owns it with her today. His part of the founding argument was that the half of pest control a homeowner never gets to see — what the inspection found, where the technician went, what was applied and why — is the half that decides whether the service was any good. That is why a Bugged visit ends with photographs and notes rather than a door hanger, and why the arrival window and the ETA are treated as commitments. He lives in the Austin metro with Brittany, their child, and two Labrador retrievers.
